About Us

A Family of Faith

Our Story

Located in the heart of Cisco, Texas, Broken X Winery is a product of our family journey and dream. Established in 2020, the winery was built on the foundation of our fighting spirit through times of trials and weaknesses. Our wines are developed with that same endurance and character and carry that with each drop. Family owned and operated, Broken X Winery.

Friends who know our story automatically know why we named our winery Broken X, but to others it may seem a little unorthodox. Well honestly, our family is a little unorthodox. In 2006, we were like any other family expecting their first child and were blessed with Jake. When Jake was two, he was diagnosed with Fragile X Syndrome, a genetic disorder that affects the X chromosome. Six years later we were blessed with our daughter Gracie who doesn’t have the syndrome and isn’t a carrier. Our entire journey is part of our inspiration to open a winery, and create something together. This winery and the names of some of our wines will reflect the strength and weaknesses of our family. Although we may be fragile we won’t be broken.

Stopped in at the end of a day exploring. This was the best find of the day. Charming building with beautiful decor inside. Food was great and the best cabernet sauvignon we have had since moving to Texas three years ago. It is worth the visit.
